N2  - هدفت الدراسة الوقوف على مستوى تمكن طلبة كليَّة العـُلوم والآداب بجامعة نزوى من مهارات البحث العلمي، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وأعد الباحثون اختباراً تحصيليًا مكون من (45) فقرة، يغطي مهارات البحث العلمي الأساسية، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (190) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة كليَّة العـُلوم والآداب بالجامعة في الفصل الصيفي 2020/2021م؛ وقد كشفت النتائج عن وجود ضعفاً في مهارات البحث العلمي لدى طلبة الكلية؛ إذ بلغ المتوسط الحسابي لدرجاتهم في الاختبار  (19.79) وبنسبة مئوية (44%)، وهو متوسط أقل من المتوسط الفرضي الذي استندت إليه الدراسة (31.5)، وبنسبة (70%)، كما أظهرت النتائج فروقًا ذات دلالة إحصائية في تمكن الطلبة من مهارات البحث العلمي تبعًا متغير النوع الاجتماعي ولصالح الأثاث، وتبعًا لمتغير التخصص ولصالح تخصص العلوم الرياضية والفيزيائية مقابل تخصص اللغة العربية، واللغات الأجنبية، كما وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيًا لصالح  تخصص التربية والدراسات الإنسانية، مقابل تخصص اللغة التربية وعلوم الحياة والكمياء، وقد ظهرت أيضأ تلك الفروق الدالة إحصائيًا بين تخصص علوم الحياة والكيمياء، وتخصص اللغة العربية ولصالح تخصص علوم الحياة والكيمياء؛ كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى تمكن الطلبة من مهارات البحث العلمي تعزى لمتغير المعدل التراكمي، لصالح المعدلات المرتفعة (3.51 – 4 و 3.1 – 3.5 )، مقابل المعدلات المتوسطة والمنخفضة (2.51 – 3 و 2.1. الكلمات المفتاحية: مهارات البحث العلمي– طلبة الجامعات – جامعة نزوي.. The level of students’ competence in research skills in the college of Sciences and Arts in the University of Nizwa Abstract:      The study aimed to determine the level of scientific research skills of the students in the College of Sciences and Arts at the University of Nizwa. The study used the descriptive approach. The researcher prepared an achievement test consisting of (45) items covering basic scientific research skills. The study sample consisted of (190) male and female students from the College of Sciences and Arts in the summer semester 2020/2021. The results revealed a weakness in the scientific research skills of the college students. The analysis of the data showed that the mean of the test scores was (19.79) with a percentage score of (44%) which is less than the hypothetical mean on which the study was based (31.5) with a percentage score of (70%). The results also showed statistically significant differences in the students' ability of research skills related to the gender variable and in favor of females. In terms of the specialization variable, the results were in favor of the specialization of sports and physical sciences against Arabic language, and foreign languages specialization. Moreover, the.
