%X ساهمت الأحداث التي وقعت بعد وفاة النبي ﷺ في الكثير من التغييرات السياسية في المناطق التي خضعت لسلطة المدينة المنورة، فقد كانت حرب الردة ومن ثم الفتوحات في العصر الراشدي الأثر الكبير في تلك التقلبات السياسية في أنحاء الجزيرة العربية، هذه التقلبات أظهرت الحاجة إلى تدعيم سلطة المدينة المنورة عن طريق تعيين الولاة على الأقاليم والمناطق التي خضعت لسلطة يثرب منذ عهد النبي ﷺ، وقد استمر الحال طوال فترة الخليفة أبو بكر وعمر، لكن في خلافة كل من عثمان وعلي تبدلت الأوضاع السياسية مما ساهم في عدم وضوح الأوضاع السياسية التي كانت سائدة في بعض أقاليم الجزيرة العربية ومنها عُمان، لذلك يسعى هذا البحث للحديث عن الولاة الذين تولوا السلطة في عُمان في العصر الراشدي من أجل تسليط الضوء حول الكثير من الأحداث التي وقعت، خاصة وأن جوانب منها ما تزال يكتفنها الغموض حول الولاة الذين تم تعيينهم في عُمان والفترات التاريخية لوجودهم. كما يسعى البحث للكشف عن الأعمال التي قام بها أولئك الولاة خلال وجودهم في عُمان مما أنعكس على جانب آخر يتمثل في دور العُمانيين في حماية الإسلام من الجبهة الشرقية وفتح المناطق في الخليج العربي لتصبح مناطق إسلامية تتبع السلطة المركزية في المدينة المنورة.  وعلى حد علم الباحثين فإن هذا أول بحث يتناول الولاة على عُمان وأعمالهم،. الكلمات المفتاحية: عُمان، الخلفاء الراشدين، ولاة، عمال، أعمال.
